I’ve been in a book club or two, and as I writer myself I’m striving to read more. So it occurred to me that I ought to be writing about my reading. I included this category so I can tell you honestly what I enjoyed and didn’t enjoy so much in a story or piece of poetry, and I’ll always recommend a type of tea to go with your read. I’ll try to flag any topics or scenes in stories that might be upsetting for some readers too, so if you like, you can use my reviews to get an idea whether a piece of writing is for you. Obviously I won’t always think of everything, or spot all the interesting talking points in a book, so please do make your own assessments and join the conversation. If you’re a writer who has just published (self-published included) something for the first time, is local to Sheffield, Southampton or Adelaide, writes stuff with LGBT representation, or writes poetry about nature and small things, please feel free to link me to your work via the contact page. I am especially interested in reading and commenting on YA or NA fiction with queer rep, especially urban fantasy. I’d absolutely love to be a beta reader for someone so if you’re looking, please consider me!
